If you haven't yet seen this game, Dragonica Online Philippines, you can play it now. Either on the SEA version by IAH games (worst publisher in history), or sign up for an Alpha tester account. You can check out egames website for more news on Dragonica.
The downsides of this game, like most bad cash shop games, is that they may give advantages to cash users. Not small advantages or just better looking characters, like upgrading or level up experience advantage. And leveling up in this game takes a loooot of time. Back in SEA Dragonica, before I got fed up with the greedy people in IAH games, and how GM Jin is a complete moron who can't speak english, I had a level 50 Battlemage, Jester, and Knight.
If you wanna own 1v1 PvP but get treated like a leaper in Dragonica, pick knight/assassin. If you wanna own PvE and be decent/semi good in group pvp, pick Jester/BM.
And please don't discriminate against knights in PvE in our newDragonica Philippine server. It's sad and mean to do that lol
Creating a Perfect World isn’t easy. It takes time to make sure that every blade of grass, every gust of wind, every drop of water is as perfect as it can get. Because a Perfect World is what players like you deserve.
That’s why we at Level Up are taking the time to make sure that we can deliver on our promise of a Perfect World. And though we are as itching as much as you guys are to give this baby a test drive, we have realized that the proper localization of the game client will entail more time than we initially anticipated.
The need for more time is partlydue to the fact that the game is huge; in fact, it’s so huge that we ourselves were overwhelmed with the expansive content needing translation.
However, this unexpected change of schedule for the internal testing of Perfect World by assigned players will not greatly affect the open beta period which we previously committed.
It was a difficult decision to make, yet a decision that needed to be made. Instead of a half translated game with features that may not be fully playable, we are giving you a thoroughly-tested one, with the guarantee of total enjoyment, at a slightly later date.
We will be announcing the updated schedule next week.

GM T: Swell idea, I’ll have that soon! Anyway, let's move on to over to the PVP aspect of the game. Briefly, please tell me how the PVP system works. I believe there's also a "city siege" control system, right? How can players join and kick ass?
Oneil: Perfect World has a newbie friendly PK/PVP system where characters are only allowed to kill and be killed by other players once they reach Level 30. Players who are able to reach Level 30 are able to kill players only outside town. Towns are safe zones.
Entering the City Battle map to gain ownership of the land requires a strong clan. This means for an unoccupied city they must be able to kill all 200++ monsters in less than three hours. For occupied cities they must be able to bring down the opposing clan who owns that city in three hours. In essence, the city battle requires full strategy and not just direct brute force which normally happens in other games.
This is just a really brief preview of the city battle.
The full details of the city battle are available in Game Magazine this April.
In a futile attempt to get into CB, I'm going to blog about Perfect world. And since I don't usually blog...I'm prolly wasting my time XD But anyway, on with the game.
Recently purchased by Level Up! Games, Perfect World or World 2 originates from China. It's based on Chinese traditional myths. Perfect World is an MMORPG much like WoW, Lineage 2, and Vanguard when it comes to gameplay and features. Graphics wise, it's more Lineage 2 + Guildwars. It's certainly one of the best, if not best MMORPG here in the Philippines.
You start out the game, like with any other, with the character creation. The character creation here just totatly wipes the floor with any other game. Here's some taken from Level Up!'s website:

Shows how complex the character creation is in this game, you'll have to spend around atleast 10 minutes just creating your avatar's face. You can also select height, build type, skin color.
After character creation, you'll then enter the "Perfect World". This is one of the few loading screens you'll be seeing, as the world is seamless and isn't restricted by zones (except for some areas which are instanced just like WoW). You're put in this HUGE world which will probably take you an hour to walk ( or fly ) from one end to the other.
Freedom, that's what you'll get; you run, swim, and FLY anywhere you want to. 'Course you'll most probably get owned by high level monsters XD. Just because you can fly doesn't mean you're safe, there are countless monsters everywhere ( land, sea, and air ), monsters also use skills/spells. Respawn time takes 5-10 seconds in an area, although you'll never run out of things to kill ( This is a breath of ******* fresh air for RF players ) Movement is done either by mouse or WASD ( spacebar to swim/fly higher, Z to swim/fly lower )

Newbie starting area. You can get to level three in like five minutes thanks to the quests ( which there are lots of ).
Advantage of the Elf/Wing race is they can fly straight away, unlike the humans/beasts who'll need to wait until level 30.
